Challenge

Brandix Apparel (Pvt.) Ltd. is a leading apparel manufacturing organization with large-scale operations across Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. With over 25,000 employees across manufacturing locations, including factory associates, team leaders and HR professionals, Brandix needed a mobile-first, inclusive HR platform to simplify everyday HR access, improve governance and support digital adoption at scale.

  • Fragmented, plant-specific HCM systems created data silos, limited integration and inefficiencies across payroll, data access and employee engagement.
  • Non-executive factory associates lacked digital HR access, making them dependent on HR teams for routine requests.
  • Paper-based leave requests caused approval delays, paperwork risks and employee inconvenience.
  • Paper pay slips created time-consuming processes, reduced transparency and increased employee frustration.
  • High-volume HR operations needed a scalable, unified system to reduce errors, improve consistency and strengthen governance.

PeoplesHR Solution

Brandix introduced OneClick, powered by PeoplesHR, as a single-access HR platform for employees across its manufacturing operations. The platform brought leave, attendance, payroll and core HR services into one digital environment, supported by mobile access, kiosks, multilingual availability and digital literacy training.

  • Unified HCM: OneClick replaced fragmented systems with a unified HR platform, helping Brandix streamline HR operations across locations and improve process consistency.
  • Employee Self-Service: Over 25,000 employees gained real-time access to HR services, including leave balances, pay sheets, leave applications, training and counselling support.
  • Reporting & Visibility: Brandix reduced reports from 400 to 110, an approximate 73% reduction, while standardized dashboards improved HR data control, visibility and real-time decision-making.
  • Measurable Adoption: Within eight months, attendance self-service adoption increased from 4% to 96%, while leave self-service adoption rose from 31% to 99%.
  • Operational ROI: Brandix achieved USD 98,098 in annual savings through reduced HR effort equivalent to 17 FTEs, AMC costs and infrastructure.
  • Transaction Scale: Employees processed approximately 40,000 attendance transactions and 25,000 payroll transactions through the system.

Brandix manages a large number of people at each location, leading to complexities in HR operations. This complexity arises from multiple updates needing to be performed on various systems by a limited number of individuals. Additionally, the presence of multiple versions of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems across the group created numerous obstacles. This fragmented landscape hindered the ability to provide seamless HR services to employees, impacting organizational productivity.
The digital transformation effort focused on streamlining employee interactions with the HR department, leading to enthusiastic employee adoption. In just 8 months, 25,000 employees fully embraced PeoplesHR, resulting in a substantial increase in the usage of the system for leave requests, attendance transactions processing over 40,337 transactions, and 24,818 payroll transactions. This transformation had a profound positive impact on HR operations, employee experiences, and the organization’s environmental footprint.
